The Bronx Zoo simply put is spectacular. This world class zoo is over 265 acres and is one of the largest wildlife conservation parks in the United States. Visiting requires securing admission timed tickets and Wednesdays are still free, upon securing tickets (max 4 tickets). I encourage you to visit the Zoo especially being an open air environment. Park employees are counting people in/out of all the exhibits and there are hand sanitizer kiosks at every turn. You can easily spend the entire day at the park. They have created seasonally decorated outdoor dining areas and still have concession stands dining options. My membership to the Bronx Zoo pays for itself after two visits and gives me the ability to go during their featured events, but more importantly to check in with my favorite animals through out the year.
Take a look at all the beautiful animals I got to see, up close, on my last visit. I was literally buzzing the entire time. It’s incredible to see all their personalities shine. I could literally spend hours in the Congo area. I love the primates, they are so intelligent and know how to play it up for visitors.
