Brunch @ Cafe Periscope

Looking for a quick place to have brunch, I stumbled by this unsuspecting eatery, Cafe Petisco.  There was a 10 minute wait for a table, which means, I was late to the game on this spot.
I enjoyed my meal along with the decor of this Middle Eastern/Mediterranean cafe. I only wish there was more smoked salmon with my meal. The tea service in a the metal cafe was a great touch. Overall, this is a quaint place, relaxing and a good alternative from the trendy places near by.

Wandering around SoHo can be overwhelming, there are endless amount of retails shops, tourists and eateries.

Walking into the restaurant Sant Ambroeus eased the hustle of the hectic atmosphere. The interior design captured a tranquil Italian dining room with mid-century modern wood paneling and splashes of modern art through-out.

I am going to frank and say that I would come back just for the bread basket and individual coffee pots! In fact, It was so good, we ordered the associated pastry basket. The service was everything you would expect from a five star restaurant, yet it had the comfort of your local café. Our waiter was polite and astute enough to see we were in no rush, that we able to sit and nibble for well over 30 minutes before being asked if we should have the kitchen fire up our last course. The lemon ricotta pancakes were decadent. The eggs were like clouds of fluffy goodness, you could just melt. The next time I have guests in town, we will be eating here, not that I need an excuse to come back. Simply Bellissimo!
